    Super Job Wes. Is it below the roof line with the hard top on?? If it is not, it won't matter. The roof rack will balance the look out.

    I made it to mount to the rear door, with the little screws. There is enough room to make it towards the top or bottom of the door. This will allow you to play with the look and balance the height vs scrub of the tire. I think the top of the tire should be right around the top of the roof line or maybe a smidgen higher.

    could you make a tapped backing plate the goes inside the rear door the bolts go into to mount the carrier. I think that the carrier would break out the plastic holding it with out some support. What do you think??
