It should be in paint by then, I still want to stretch the wheel base a little so it tucks in to both the front and rear wheel wells. I'll play with it tonight. Thanks for all your help.

Yeah, I am working on fabbing the delrin lower links for Bad Turtle. I also wanted to repaint the rear bumper, but found it broken. I guess my 3 foot fall at Sam Lewis did break something after all. Send me some pics of what type of rear bumper you want. If it is not too hard I should be able to get it made for you.

found several that look good. I'll email the pics to you. The sliders need to be tweaked also.

Glad to hear the electronics are back in it. Can't wait to see it when you get the color on. I really think the blue with grey interior will be awesome. When I get back from CO we need to get out for some action photos.

But then where do you put your offroad lights if you mount it in the back?

Bumper and/or hood. Wait to see where my lights end up. I need to make a run to the Shack when I get back and they will be set.

John, can you guess what this is going to be? I need to get a nut and bolt to finish it up.

Sweet, can't wait. Enjoy your trip. I stretched the JK to 12 3/4 inches to fit the tires into the wheel wells cleanly. If you still have any Delrin left I would like to rebuild the rear upper and lower links. Not necessary but I would like the strength. Hope to have it in paint this weekend.

There might not be enough to do both upper and lower. I do have plenty of the long M3 screws, though. When I get back we can plan another build day if you want. We can work on the tire carrier, links and rear bumper. Looking forward to seeing it painted. That is always my favorite part.

Sounds like a plan, we could just cut a delrin spacer to fit in where I extended it. I'm going to start on the detail work first, then the body.

    Re: Honcho / JK conversion

Finished up your tire carrier last night. I think it will fit really nicely with your build. It also shoves the tire up high enough to not catch when ascending. Just got to check how high the tire will sit, and pick a balanced spot to mount.
