    My Venom Set up.

I found a few ways to lower the COG a lot and get better proformance out of the venom.

    Here's what I did:
-6zo in each front - 0oz in the rear
-Hot Racing - Aluminum Turn Knuckles, C-Hubs and Rear Axle lockout.
    -Removed the Batery tray.
-Used 3/8th inch Break line for upper chassie suport.
-Traxas centerline drives and yokes(stock keeps braking)
-Traxxas Slash Duel stage Soft springs in the rear and droop in the front
    -70W oil in r/f and l/r
-Split batery pack mounted on either side of the Transmition or (Lipo .
-Rover tires with 2 stage fome
-DIF Packed with JB Weld to lock them up(locker kept breaking)
-mount the shocks on the bracket the lower links are on, out board the rear.
    -Redesigned skid plate
    -Custome front servo/batery plate
    -DIG unit
-Bent rear lower links at the last bend to allow more breakover clearance in the rear.

    Mods yet to be done:
    ----------------------------------------------------------
Custom bodiless Chassie(getting quote from shop)

Front Servo Plate - Two advantages- gets the servo out of the way of the rocks for added clearance and puts a small lipo on the font for lowered COG.

Rear Servo Plate - You can mount the eletronics here or a larger lipo it's up to you. I plan on moving my eletronics here after I make a brace to protect them. You can use either plate in front or back, it's up to you.

Upper link mounting - with the front servo plate you have to cut the factory mounts off and and a 2M spacer to the link while mounting them at the 2nd position. the rear serfo plate puts the upperlink mount in the 4th position. I found that mounting hte upper links flat on the plates gives improved controled flex and not the sloppy folp the factory set up has.

Front with Spacer and mounting hold location...

    Rear mounting location

To use the plates you also have to mount your shocks on the lower link mount with a 30MM bolt.

The front you should do like this and mount the top on the inside of the chassie to keep the tires from rubbing on the shock.

the rear you want the shocks pushed out (out boarded) as far as you can for added stability and TT killing.

Droop in the front - leave the internal springs and add a 6 -8 mm ribber stop so you don't sit too low in the front.

Drive shafts - make sure you get the Traxas plastic shafts and steel yokes... I've not broken one yet and they are cheep to replace if you do and every hobby shop has them.

GET THE DIG!!! FORGET THE AXLE LOCKER and UNLOCKER they are CRAP!!!

Aprox 35 degree bend at last bend in factory lower links text the tire right up on the edge for the grip you need to get over the edge.

Lastly trim and slam that boddy as low as it can go... but check the Competition legal specks first so you don't trim too much.

maybe you should think abou this for your creeper....
    http://www.ripper7racing.com/r7r/the...d&productId=15

only problem is they go fast when they are in stock...

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." -Thomas Jefferson
rikkles - i'm loving this nitro jazz, its's dirty, smelly, and fast. much like marc

My next is going to be pieced together. I picked up a rs10 chassie for 20 and some other parts on eBay so that's a start. This one is going to be a MOA. I just need to decide on the axles that I want to use.
