    what is everybody else using

hey all I have a few little projects going on......pics to come..lol...... one of em is a crew cab flatbed dually im build and my question is what is every body using for a really long drive shaft......in this case theres no interior so it will be a stock scx chassis trans in the normal position.....prolly a honcho length shaft in the front but in the rear the axle will have to be moved back a lot....don't have measurements but my guess is that this will be a 13 plus inch wheel base....also how are you guys mating the rear wheels together for a dually set up......thanks in advance.....hopefully quirk has an answer......es the reason the yellow bummer works so good.....lol

I am not building anything like that but I can't wait to see some answer on the dually question

maybe a machine shop can help you out making a shaft

    Easiest way to DIY.....
1.Get a set (2) of semi dual wheels, they are smaller than 1.9
    2. Get a set of HPI stock car wheels, (4)
    3. Cut out the spokes on Stock car wheels and Dremel smooth
    4. Slide the Stock car wheels onto the semi wheels, it will be a tight fit but they will go.
    5. You can slide the stock car wheels in or out to adjust width, glue with CA when you get them where you want them
If you want fronts that match (front drive axle) you can get one more set (2) of semi wheels and Stock car wheels and do the same. If you search here for my DOKA Mog you will see where I made negative offset wheels this way to keep the wheels/tires under the fenders

I have done this quite a few times so it does work

RC4WD makes extended Punisher shafts in the heavy duty style and standard. I have the standard extended on my Mack 6X6. Not sure if they still offer the carrier bearing setup, if you hit a roadblock, I may have a carrier setup in a box somewhere, I had 3 new ones at one point in time. Just not sure where they are, I have to many misc parts taking up space.

Now im using scx10 rails and I've seen that carrier bearing...dp axial and punisher shaft fit the same out puts...meaning will punisher shafts bolt up to an sxc trans?....and do you know if that carrier bearing will fit between scx10 frame rails?

The carriers I have seen are for semi's and are much smaller, you would have to make a cross member to bolt it to. Yes same size output as SCX
