So I got a wild itch last night around midnight.. Lol..
So I went down to the work bench..
So when the traxxas shaft popped off the yoke, I knew I had to do something different.

I got a set of SDI propeller shafts a while back and used one on my sporty.. Well, I went for the other one a week or so ago. The 2 ends per shaft, just didn't fit. So it came the dremel! I was going to cut the slide end off the one yoke, But..... I just couldn't do it!
So after some debate. I drilled a hole in the yoke and tapped it. Then took the short yoke off my sporty and gave it the slider end with a set screw.

Ooops, back to the TF2.. I grabbed the shaft and the dremel but had to move a wraith uni first.. Hmmm.. That feels the same thickness.. Well, it was.. So instead of cutting up the SDI shaft (reusable parts) I cut a old, short side XR, rear shaft up and used it for the length I needed..

    So instead of this..

    I have this!

Yep, that looks better and makes me feel better about it!

    Next item up.. Shift servo..

I saw my buddy Hittman selling a Rc4wd 2 speed wraith tranny and asked him about the servo. He recommended it for a few reasons..
It's quick, metal geared, and take's a full sized servo horn.. Which I happened to have one laying around, so I ordered the servo..
It should fit very nicely where I have planned for it.
I'll be on that today, to try and get it worked out.

Nice. I might have to get me one of those servos for the bad Turtle. Would give me a little more room.

I'm not sure on this servo.. Yet.. It's being powered off the Brxl, which Should be enough for what the servo is doing..
I might be looking at a mini servo next.. Hitec 225mg..

Been on hold, due to replacing the front end of the XJ, which I stole for the front axle of this..

I went thru and loctite'd all the hardware, messed with some wider hex, and getting the 4.25" short Lil Nova foams stuffed in the other 2 tires.

With Motorama coming up, a requirement/highly recommended is having a driver...

So the wife not only got me a driver, but a good looking one at that! Lol..

    She couldn't have done better!

Also, a gas can, wiper's, mirrors and spare tire are accounted for.. So far

Some scale goodies came in today..

    Spare..

Now.. Do I use the SS cooler or the red Igloo.. One has to go in the XJ.. I also need to make the small SS "tool box", into a " first aid kit (with a black cross), take it out, or leave it in there..
Kicker is, I Need a high lift jack and a gas can in there yet.. Ugh....

I can move the stuff around, as well.. But it's in there like puzzle pieces right now.. Lol..

More to come.. I have to do something about shocks!
I talked to Rckcrwlr.. He likes King shocks.. I don't like blue, so maybe RRD shocks..

Anyone else have a highly suggested feeling on shocks?

Your truck looks great. Fitting all the scale "junk" in always takes some creativity

Why do I care where Waldo is?

And more in the mail Wes.. No wonder points are awarded for scale "junk".. Shiz isn't cheap! Lol..

Thank you John. It's been a fun road. I understand now why they turn into shelf queens, when ppl are done building them... It's not like throwing a lexan body on and hitting the trail..
The " junk " takes up alot of room! A roll over is going to be like dumping a women's purse out in the middle of the woods! Lol..

Shoe goo is your friend. Just a drop under the item and let it dry. Can be pried off later and doesn't leave a mark.
