Why can't I get full steering?

Wes asked me to get some pics for him because I recently did high clearance knuckles, cms, and 4 linked the front of my jk.. now when it's on the ground it doesn't get any steering going front, but when in reverse it goes full steering either way. When it is on my stand and I steer I see it goes so far and then the chassis tweaks and the tires stay still. I'm hoping thst someone can help me out. Let me know if different pics are needed.

    Thanks!

    What servo?
    What is the torque?

If you hold the front end up does it get full lock right-left?

I think what he means is can you turn it from full lock to full lock by hand. First thing is to make sure it is not a mechanical issue. I just got a servo programmer that can open your end points. Let us know about the first question and then we can talk about the servo

If I held it up yes it went by hand full lock to lock. I also put the servo back on the axle and it has full lock to lock by hand, sitting still, and also while going front and back

I have the same crap Mike..
IMO, I think it's caused by the cms w/ 4 link and not a panhard bar setup..

I'm running the high clearance knucks, an cms on the xj..
It's not a epa issue either. Cause I have to turn them down to not get the chassis to torque as well.

    The 645 is around 150oz..

I'm running a 7950 an still have the same problem..

"One of these days" I'll get to it(panhard bar).. It's only been 2yrs or so.. Lol...

I can't say that I have had that issue, although I chuck Panhard bars on most the rigs I keep, so that may explain it.

I agree with Quirk, if you have mechanical lock to lock it is most likely a servo issue. Could be that you need a longer servo horn or a shorter mount point on the axle. Keep in mind that doing either gets you more travel, but reduces torque. My servo programmer can get you full 180 sweep instead of the usual 90 most are set at.

Post 5 by Mike.. Days he went back to able mounted and everything works as it should..
Or am I reading that wrong Mike?

I guess I'll have to make a panhard and see if it makes the difference for me..

Post 1, says "it goes so far and then the chassis tweaks"
Leads me to believe that a lack of servo travel isn't the issue either..
If more travel is added to get the steering while moving or sitting still.. When going in reverse or steering is achieved, it will fry the servo..

A lack of torque from the 645 doesn't help.

I only had my phone and was replying between a show and drinks while in Vegas. I may have missed a bit, just hard to tell by only seeing pics.

Suby, unbolt the link from the servo. Push the tires to full lock both ways. See if the link will reach the servo on both sides. Make sure to turn on the truck and hold the servo to check.

This will tell you if it is physically possible for the servo and link set up to reach at full lock.
