Need help finding a good comp crawler chassic

Ok I've decided, I wanna try the whole comp crawler thing. I thought about making what I believe to call a shafty? Basically I was thinking about taking a ax10 rolling chassic minus trans and put a dig unit in then like a 45 turn axial motor for starters. I've never been into comp crawlers so I really have no idea what to build. I can really only pull knowledge from my scaler and other builds . My question is does this build sound right ? And if not any suggested chassic's.

my first build years ago was an ax10 with a dig unit. i started with it and used it for almost 2 years before going moa. i still have my trans and dig from that first build. take your time and you'll do fine with your build.

If ur goin to give a go at comp crawling an coming to comps, dig it's against the rules. You can have it, but can't use it in the shafty class.
You could run it in the pro class tho, too
If you don't already have a motor an have to buy one, a 35t would be the better option.

That will work. Gear up, volt up.. With a 55t a higher gear ratio should be good.
