I have bit the bullet and decided to build a 2.2 Sporty for next season.

X2 on that John! There were a couple floating around in Alabama and they were pretty impressive. They arent all that much wider than AX10/XR10 axles which has become pretty much the sporty class industry standard.

P.S. I'm really excited that EPA is adopting this class! I hope it grows to be as big as pro.

Got some work done on the axles. I made an extension to the rear for the upper liks. I also made one for the front with an offset servo mount. The tray beside the axle will be for my ESC. Last, I re-used a RR battery mount. So far so good. I really have good hope for this rig.

Here are the updates of the chassis after adding the motor plate and motor. Yes, that is a brushless motor in there. I am going to try an 18.5 Ballistic with a MMP.

Some updated pics. New shocks installed, but not tuned. Upper links are final but lowers are temp. They will be replaced with Ti ones. Still tons more, but really looking good.

Just a thought, mirror the tranz. It might make it better for the driveshafts, straighter line from tranz to axles. It is really coming together nicely.
