    Rustang G6 and Scale Dash

I have decided to build a specific G6/Scale Dash rig. I am looking for something I can bash and not worry about. It is going to be light and have a two speed trans. There is still a lot to figure out, but here is what I have so far. Delrin chassis and a mount for the trans. I have a box full of parts, but still much more to gather.

Here are some updates to the progress. My axles parts willbe here tomorrow, so hoping to have it a roller soon. Estimated curb weight is around 5.5 lbs. a little heavier than I wanted, but not bad for a Summit 2 speed trans.

Making some good progress. Really hoping to have it ready for the beach. I still need one set of paddle tires, but they should be in soon. The electronics still need. To be soldered, but I might get that tomorrow night.

I got everything worked out and was doing some testing at Palmerton. Pulled off the hood and the glue failed where the body mount was attached. Now I need to scramble to get that fixed by Friday.

I also decided to light it up. Why do I do this to my self. Hoping I get it all finished up.

Not only upside down, but backwards. I run the XR10 drag link pointed forward with a custom servo arm. It's all held together with Delrin tube inserts.

    Rustang G6 and Scale Dash

Finally got around to painting the body. I made a few dents with the heat gun and got it primed. Not really sure where this will end up but I am hoping for a good paint job that has been well worn with a few mis-matched body panels.

First shot of color. Many more to come along with an attempt at weathering. Hoping for the best but I am more of a make it look good kind of guy. This making it look old is much more difficult.
