Well that sort of failed. I ended up about a quarter inch to long in my wheelbase. Also, it's not very straight from hand bending everything. Blah. I really need like some flat aluminum to do it out of then I could make rails or something, or even small c channel like the axial rigs.

    Brazing!

So today I went to the local weld shop and got ripped off getting some safety silv 45 and flux. $40.60 I came home and fired up the propane torch and figured I'd keep working on the frame I had already put so much time into. The idea was to put some cross member/shock supports in. It worked well, but took forever to heat it up with the propane. I might try an internal roll cage or something as I get braver.

you will find brakeline will bend very easy unless you have it braced to hell with a ton of diagonals....if you have an air gas store close by you can get 1.5 troy oz of just 45 rod for bout 32 bucks, they have kits with flux for bout 28.00 last time i got the solid rod......bob

Cool thanks. I know this will bend like crazy because I drilled through it. But now that I know I can do it... I am making a floor pan out of metal, then going up off that. I plan to setup a tcase setup so I can have an interior. After this I will have to play with some styrene.
