Jslick asked for pictures of my early 70's Blazer creation. I built this before the EPA site so many may have not seen it
Here you go..
I set out to make an accurate 1/10th Blazer body, since I have seen maybe 2 others in my years with crawlers that are accurate.
First was to correct the body line on the front fender
Many steps in between here, but this is what you can do with some determination
FYI, if you care
The donor
Chop, chop.
Then came making the front fenders match the year, a little styrene strip helped. It is a little hard to see with the light primer.
Then the stock grill was the wrong year also, so after following someone elses tip from their build, I bought a repro Blazing Blazer grill
But it was wider than the stock one
I had to cut off roughly 1/4" each side
Test fit
I had to extend the front of the hood to match also and finalize the fit for the grill
I would LOVE to do another. Maybe this winter I will need an easy project.. And yes, it was an easy project. time consuming but easy
