I made a new CF rear tray and got started on the CF chassis. I still need to cut out the opening, but I am out of blades. The skid plate is from a cutting board. It slopes toward the rear, but has a notch for the trans to sit flat.

Here are some updates on the chassis. Still a few braces to build, but the basic shape is there. I also weighed the thing (minus the battery and motor). It looks to be around 2.5 lbs with the battery and motor. It's sitting at 1.7 now, so the final weight is a guess. There are no wheel weights, since I am going to run brass knuckles.

I can't wait to see this all put together. Wes, do you ever take a break? LOL, at the pace you're going, this rig should be done by 9:30 tonight.

It didn't look like the MRC adaptor for the links was going to be available any time soon. So, I made a set. I still hope to get the front adaptor from Dlux. However, if not available soon I will make that too.

Started mounting the rear up to the chassis. I am going to need some different lengths to get this thing to sit right. I saw some nice Ti links I might go back for at Hobbytown. I also found our the hard way that the MRC links will not bend. They just snap!

I made some progress on the Smurf today, thanks to parts from John. The MRC to LCC conversion is complete. It took a little time figuring out just where I wanted the caster. All in all a pretty easy upgrade. It feels really solid too. My link/shock mount is on order. The only problem I ran into is the beadlock rings need to be trimmed. I am guessing I will need SLWs to make the knuckle weights fit. Until I get the money, I will run it as is.

It's starting to look like a 1.9. Hopefully some more parts will arrive soon so I can finish the thing.
