    Here's what I got.

    The wicked winch gate.

Apparently mr. Cleangoat thought we needed to know how to hold a teacup.

I would really like to see more winching in the next up coming comps. Like winching specific gates.

winch specific gates would be a cool idea, just have to make sure that you have someone at the top to pull them up in case someone does not have a winch.

That does sound interesting. We beed to look for spots that you have a hook spot though. I really need to either rebuild my winch or get a new one. It is getting a bit tired.

I saw some 15lbs anchors at walmart today that may serve useful for making a winch gate when There isn't much option for hook placement. Big goofy things but the concept my prove useful. As for the guys with no winch, my stand is you should always come prepared. Possibly throw that in with the sign up stuff that a winch is highly recommended. Just a thought

I agree with dirty "COME PREPAIRED" to run anything thrown at you. If WE are going to throw water hazards at people that aren't water proofed 100%, I want to see mandatory winch gates, that if you don't have a properly working winch then that's your own **** problem!!!!!NO WINCHING VEHICLES to help someone without a winch(that's my thought)

We do need to be careful with the water hazards. We probably went overboard on the bonus gate, but all the regular gates should have been ok. As far as the winch 'anchor' that was written out of the rules this year, unfortunately. It has to be naturally occurring on the course. My thought would be find a naturally occurring hold and set up a permanent two strap to hook the winch. I have tons of straps and can make some anchor points that we could use. This way we stay 'legal' but can have the gate where winching is needed. I even have a block and tackle set up, if we want to give it a try. This roughly doubles the pulling power of any winch. All good stuff to think about for making it more fun to comp! Great idea guys.
