    Rik's LCC

I picked this up today...i paid $150 for the following... The LCC with a 3S Brushless Goat system with some kind of bec and 2.2 Chisels, , a 3S 1350 mah lipo, a hi-tech 645MG servo, and Futaba 3PM-MX 2.4ghx tx/rx, and a turnigy lipo charger/balancer with a venom power supply... (sa-weet!!!) But i got some ?'s.....tho, pics first....

this rig has no dig.... where can i get the servo mounts for the dig? i know losi has them, but the dude at the hobby shop told me that the losi servo mounts will only accept mini-servos. i think i read that jslick went thru 2 mini-servo's before switching to a standard servo...(though, i may be wrong) so, should i get the losi dig servo mounts, or is there a better aftermarket mount that will accept a standard servo? how much torque should i look for in a servo for the dig? also, i am thinking about selling the tx/rx, and using my dx3e....though, the futaba seems far superior than the dx3e...any thoughts on this? i see that wes is selling his tx/rx, so i dont know... also, has anyone tried, or have any input on the CKRC OTA steering kit for this rig?

    thanks in advance,
    rik

I have the RCbros dig mount, works well, been having a tough time with the mini servos, probally just me. I am running a fullsize at the moment. Great deal, go with the RCbros OTA link much better. I like the DX3e just does not have model memory. I will upgrade in the future to something different. Get a stronger steering servo for the front a hitec 7954 or a hobbico-170 will do the trick.

Also super important check the worms, they need lots of grease. Pull the axles apart and check the wear on the worms. If you can order the HD worms do it, they are awesome and have picked up my wheel speed by leaps and bounds. Check RCC for the tips and tricks, a grease port is a good thing to put in the axles. After every practice and comp I fill each of them with about 3ml. of lucas red n' tacky.

Cool thanks for the input guys.. I'm gonna order the rc bros ota kit tonight. I see they have 2 different dig servo mounts. One appears to be for mini servos. The other says its for a losi m-something servo...which should I get? I'd like to run a standard sized servo if possible...I checked the rig over again and the axles have the grease ports already in them..according to the guy I got it from the axles have the hd worms in them already. But I can't be sure til I rip them apart. Will I be able to tell if I do indeed have the hd worms? Also, I'm gonna post some pics of the electronic setup, cuz I really don't know what I have. I never had a bec hooked up. All I know is it has to power switches. One turns on the servo and rx, the other turns the esc on..and the deans plug has 2 sets of wires goin to it. 2 pos, and 2 neg...

the second switch be for the novak bec that comes with the 3s crawler combos now. the extra 2 wires are the power wires for the bec. imo ditch the novak bec and get a cc bec. the novak bex is not adjustable and the cc bec is
