I am making it too easy. Yes a cantilever rear, but not like the pics you showed. I need that space in the rear for the steering servo.

lol quit playing games and just show us hahaha.
Going with rear steer? I'm going to try dig on mine.

I was thinking about the rules, maybe the reverse and dig/rear steer penalties should be reversed (for class 3 at least). Because reverse is only -1 per use, where as dig/rear steer is -5. In most cases, it would make sense to reverse up to 5 times instead of using dig/rear steer. Just a thought...

It's only a penalty if you use both in one comp the way I remember the rules. So, if you start with rear steer a dig afterward would cost you and vice versa. So you can use all the dig or rear steer you want just not both.

Thanks, I went back and re-read the rule. I broke my own pet-peeve lol.
You can use one or the other during a course. If you use both, you'll be repositioned to the last gate. The first time you use the feature, it's +5, all after are free.

I'm hoping we can make class 3 courses fairly difficult, so we can actually use the "class 3 only" features and not just breeze through courses in 2 minutes.

I am waiting on my final pieces and the JK4 axles will be complete. I have AX10 axles, with overdrive in the front. XR10 chubs and knuckles, using Gunnar Beef Toobs to stiffen it all up. I was trying 3 racing CVDs, but the swivel point was wrong. So, I am going with the XR10 driveshafts. The chubs are pushed out .250" and I will trim the ends that go into the center locker. There is enough material to extend the flat and make it work. Bent Ti links are going to be used for the drag links. Detail pics of the build up to come.

I have seen plenty of real trail rigs with rear steer. Why would it not be allowed on small ones? Also, I can't see a benefit to cantilever suspension. More complex to break. K.I.S.S.
