Yep, I set up an Excel spreadsheet to compare it against the Axial trans. According to the math it will work.

Here are some snapshots of the rebuild. Front end pretty much the same, minus the heavy bumper. I am waiting on some parts to build out my straight rear. Next up figure out the trans. Still leaning toward the LCC one.

I am about 99% sure the LCC trans does not lock up when in dig. I looked at an exploded view and it looks like the trans just disengages and relies on the worms to lock up.

So, I decided to try the RC4WD dig trans. The enclosed dig trans was on sell for $59. Just a little bit more than the LCC and much cheaper than the VP one.

LCc trans doesn't lock. Its a good thing to use for a scale truck if you want 2wd then 4wd.

Got the new case for the rear. The RC4WD dig trans is on the way. Trying to find some good wheel widens for the back. I need about 1/2" overall. The front bumper is cut out, just need to braze it up. Hoping to get it all back together before the next comp.

I ordered my wheel wideners for the back. I am probably going to need some help from a machinist for the front. Will need to wait and see once the rear is complete. The RC4WD dig trans arrived today. This thing has a tiny footprint and is super light for being all metal. I will weigh it when I strip down the rig next. The trans mount is finished. Up next a mount for the dig servo. It also looks like I will need new lower mounts. Hoping I can re-use some of what I have.

Finally got it all together. The approach angle is awesome.
