    Metal Wraith....

Recently picked up a tuber chassis on RCC. It has AX10 axles and was missing the receiver as well it seems that the wiring needed some help. My goal is to make it an Ultra4/KOH type rig. The first thing that i did was get a set of wraith axles. One of the things I would like to do is keep as many things close to stock wraith lengths/ angles etc so that it is easy to swap out parts.

Now that I have it so it will move and steer under its own power I am going to tear it down and do some cutting and rewelding as the lower links could use some better angles as well as more space to move. I have most of the skins off in these pictures I am going to be redoing them I think as time permits. Lastly I need to figure out my driveline. I think that the Tcase will be going and more of a stock wraith driviline will go into it. The stock steering is already bending so I will be ordering steering stuff here in the next few days. Ill update as possible. Any thoughts ideas or recommendations would be appreciated!!

    Thanks
    Doc

    Thanks!
After I looked at the pictures I saw the same thing. Its actually pretty big and weighs about 13 lbs. Yes those are the stock RTR Wraith axles.

    Looking good.

Hard to tell exactly from the last picture, but it looks like your driveshaft pinion angle may be too steep, clock your rear axle a bit to lessen the angle or you will go through driveshafts. Shoot us a side picture if you can

Yea pretty much all the angles are horrible. I'm going to try to weld some new mounts for the links as well as shocks.

Can you shoot some more pictures of the suspension? I am not convinced yet that you need to relocate mounts, I think you may need custom links instead. Looks like the rear uppers hit the chassis before any real travel, right?

Looks like you need longer uppers with a bend to clear the tube work. Take some allthread and tinker around.
