    EPARCC Comp Rules Committee

    ***EPARCC 2010 Rules Committee***

EPARCC will have 7-8 active members that will work as a team on a committee to discuss and come to a decision on competition rules for the Scale Class and Comp. Crawler. In this forum questions and concerns are discussed by the committee and then voted on (using our voting procedure from the by-laws), as well as ideas on how to make things better for the club.

    COMMITTEE:

    John (Quirk)

    Wes (brazwewn)

    CONSULTANT:

    Dave (Marzzz23)

Do I need to take the rules test even though I don't go to comp crawler events, only scale?

I think you should be knowledgeable about them and the scale rules. The test would not be a bad idea.

Ill take the test when I get home. Doesn't like to work on phone.

There is one rule for scalers I'm. Not liking. Don't don't if this is where to post rules to talk about.

The rule for class 2(I think 1 also) about the vehicals body needing to be 3 inches long the the wheel base. That may be hard for some of us to do with the bodys we use. I know the rig I'm getting ready to build for scale comps the body is only gonna be mabie 2 inches longer then the wheel base.

So mabie we could not use or modify this rule.

That rule is to prevent class 1 and 2 rigs from climbing up a 90* vertical wall. It basically means your tires cant extend past the front/rear bumpers.

Well would frame mounted bumpers count for the body? Id hate to not be able to use the body I have. Well ill have to check out the tires I plan to use I might just make it idk

Well wait if I'm trying to build a scale humvee then it crawling up 90* vertical walls would work cause a real H1 can do it. Haha. I'm planning to build it as scale as possible so they won't stick out much at all. Mabie ill have buy another body to work with

Bumpers are counted in the length.

For an H1, the rear end has an over hang. So as long as you make up what's lost in the front back there, you're ok.

Remember, Class 3 has no restrictions with that stuff. So even if you make a rig that you build to be in Class 1 or 2 and it fails one of the criteria, you can run in class 3 still...
