SO I have been out of the comp crawling for a while. When I had my LCC before I ran a Novak Goat 3s with 21.5 brushless. Is that still a good choice or is there something better out there? Should I think about grabbing the 18.5 motor instead? I just don't even know anymore. :-)

Do the 18.5 you will not regret it with the HD worms.

I think this one has the HD worm gears. Now I just have to find a good deal on a Goat. :-) Found the 21.5 for $110.

i still need to get the goat 3s with the 18.5 or the 21.5

I will take a picture of the difference later today and post it for you too see. 18.5 is faster which is good for the LCC they are a slow beast.

Ryan, you have the HD up front and the stockers in the rear. For overdrive. The extra gears i gave you are the HD gears for the rear.

I am driving it that way Rik and not really seeing any big difference. I am guessing that it does help, not sure how much.

what kind of grease do i use?

how much do i use ? pack it in?

I use Lucas Red N' Tacky. Pack the worm and barrel full. If you can do the grease port mod, it makes it much easier to fill up the worms.

so the grease port mod is drilling and tapping a hole so you do not have to keep taking the axle apart?
then just fill axle with syringe?
does it matter where its drilled and tapped?

Here you go.
