I just bought 2 new sky lipo 3s 1300 mah 40c batterys and they have been sitting in the box for about a month. When they came in the mail I opened them and they were fine. This past week I finally got around to soldering deans on them and I noticed the one was puffed out. Does anyone know what could have happened? I did'nt even charge it or cut the end off or anything.

Did they get hot by sitting outside?

No they were in my basement on my work bench. It stays pretty cool down there. Even now with it being really hot it's nice and cool down there. The water in my fish tank is about 78 degrees and it's in the same room.

I have had at least 5 other batterys from the same company and I did'nt have any problems. Maybe it was just a fluke.

That's what I was thinking. I guess I should have charged them right when I got them. Do you think it's still ok to use?
